SCENE 1
Thai Silk is not so difficult to care for as most people think. All you need to do is follow these few and simple instructions to keep YOUR Thai silk soft and colorful.
SCENE 2
First up, detergents: We recommend Baby soap or a very mild detergent. Regular detergent is not good because of its high PH value, which reduced the silk’s shine.
SCENE 3
Water should be about 30 degree or less. Hot or warm water is not recommended because it shrinks the fabric and always make sure to separate white from colored silk.
SCENE 4
Here is what you need to prepare: Baby’s soap or very mild detergent. Water at 30 degree or less and optional 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of softener.
SCENE 5
This is how you start: Add the soap or detergent to the water, mix them together, and then put in the silk. Allow the silk to soak fully and then gently squeeze and rub it with your hands.
SCENE 6
Do not scrub silk with a laundry brush and don’t leave it in soap water for too long. Silk does not absorb dirt like other fabrics do, so after a few minutes simply wash off the silk with clean water.
SCENE 7
To keep the beautiful color and shininess of the silk, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 1 to 2 liters of water and soak the silk in it for 1 to 2 minutes, before washing it off with clean water.
SCENE 8
To get it smelling nice, soak the silk in 1 to 2 liters of water mixed with softener for a few minutes, then wash off with clean water, remove and gently squeeze out the water from the silk.
SCENE 9
Hang the silk to dry in a shady place where there is air movement. This will help the color stay fresh and bright for a long time as the color of the silk and shininess will fade because of the heat or the sun. Thank you for watching and please leave any questions in the comments below.
